I really enjoyed the creative process. It included creating the photoshoot concept and selecting the models/ wardrobes/ styles. We had three beautiful models with three different wardrobes in three different backgrounds. My models rocked the shoot!

Helen wrote to me, "this is Ryan’s mom who is still speechless after seeing your photos. That is the most elaborate and endearing present to Kim, Ryan and all the rest of the family and friends. It is truly a keepsake which we could never had had if not for you. Fiona, how wonderful that Kim and Ryan has such a talented and wonderful friend. You have gone through many memorable events with them and you’ve helped them make it through the day. You have a very special flair for shooting pictures that make them so unforgettable. Thank you again, Fiona. You can’t imagine the joy you brought us."
I was so touched by Helen. This is why I love what I do. Creating beautiful images and capturing those unforgettable moments for others to treasure are my true passions.

Using the finest fabrics, Dark Garden’s amazingly talented craftspeople skillfully build each corset and couture garment. Dark Garden’s gowns and corsets have been worn on Hollywood’s red carpets by Christina Aguilera, Pamela Anderson, Kelly Osbourne and Dita Von Teese; throughout San Francisco’s post-modern cabaret nightlife, on countless alternative and traditional brides in San Francisco, across the U.S. and in Europe."

It was very challenging to photograph Jesse in the middle of the street in Central, Hong Kong. Buses and trollys were flying by in both directions. We only had a few seconds to take the shot and we had to move quick. Luckily, I had two assistants helping me. One was holding a flash; and the other one was watching the buses and trollys for us. It was dangerous and funny at the same time. We were running in and out to the middle of the street : ) We started the photo shoot in Stanley for daytime photos. We ended our shoot in Central for some nighttime photos.

Yen and Cheung looked amazing in this photo shoot. They wanted me to create some fashion forward images. I think we nailed it! We photographed at the following locations:
Pottinger Street 石板街: Owing to it's steepness, stone slabs were unevenly paved on it to facilitate walk and allow rainwater to flow down along either side. But as the whole street was paved with Slabs of stone, the local Chinese called it "Stone Slabs Street". The street was named after Henry Pottinger, the first Governor of Hong Kong.
Lan Kwai Fong 蘭桂坊: It is an L-shaped, cobble-stoned lane. It is a popular expatriate haunt in Hong Kong for drinking, clubbing and dining.
Causeway Bay 銅鑼灣: It was so much fun to photograph the busiest street in Hong Kong. Buses were flying by and pedestrians were walking around us in different directions.

We went to Stanley for this engagement photo shoot. Stanley is beautiful seaside city. It originally was a small fishing village on the south coast of Hong Kong Island- now a popular residential area, with attractions like the famous Stanley Market and also now a good selection of drinking and eating options along the waterfront on Main Street. A more recent addition is Murray House. It is a Victorian-era building originally built in the present-day business district of Central in 1846 as officers' quarters of the Murray Barracks; the building was relocated to Stanley during the 1998. Now, it is a three-storied building containing several restaurants and a mini museum introducing its history. I am very pleased with the photos taken inside the Murray House with the long hallway. I love the chemistry between Vivian and Wai! After a few hours of photo taking, we rested at the Boathouse restaurant for a relaxing meal. It is one of popular spots on Main Street.

My friend, Brook Sheahan from Nonpareil Event Planning and Design http://nonpareilevents.com asked me to donate a photography session to her daughter’s preschool (LPSI) annual fund raising event as part of an auction package. It was a birthday party package that she put together. The birthday party will be at the Bay Club Gateway (tennis and swim club on the Embarcadero) and there will be approximately 20 kids in attendance.
The birthday package raised $1,000! I am happy that I am able to make a contribution for a good cause. The annual fund raising event took place on Saturday, March 3rd, 2012 at Bimbo’s 365 Club. The event raised over $80,000!
Founded in 2002, La Piccola Scuola Italiana (LPSI) is San Francisco’s only Reggio Emilia-inspired Italian immersion school. In the past several years, the school has grown from a small core of very dedicated families to a thriving community of over 150 families. LPSI’s ongoing mission is to provide the highest quality Reggio Emilia-inspired early childhood education, and to build a diverse community in which children experience and enjoy Italian language and culture. Our educational project is ongoing and we hope to grow our program into a K-8 school over the next few years. Funds raised at past events have enabled LPSI to renovate a former medical office building into a bright, beautiful sensory laboratory’ designed specifically for young children; to transform a parking lot into a magical outdoor play area that sparks the imagination; to create a space where healthy meals, cooked from scratch, are shared with friends; to build a kitchen where children are introduced to the joys of cooking; to provide children with a dedicated art space (the Atelier); and to ensure that LPSI is a place where children learn, play, experiment and grow in a nurturing, unique, Italian immersion environment.
This year, they are raising funds to continue Phase II of the build out of the school campus, which includes completing the outdoor play area and renovating our annex, an area where teachers will plan and document the children’s work, making their learning visible and keeping them at the center of our educational project.

Tara and Jeron decided to have a small, intimate wedding of close friends and relatives at the amazing Eagle Ridge Golf Club in Gilroy, CA. Everything about the day was beautiful. They are such a loving, warm couple. Their love for one another and their family was apparent throughout the day. The dance floor was filled with energy. Dancing with their daughters, parents and grandparents until almost the last song.
Tara & Jeron, thank you both so much! I truly loved being a part of your gorgeous wedding day and documenting the special love that you two share. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and laughter. Cheers! xoxo.

There is a funny story behind these photos...... we attended the WPPI Convention in Las Vegas. Becky and I shared a room. We were both extremely tired from attending all the workshops during the day. I went to bed early because I was sick. It was around midnight, Becky returned to the hotel room from dinner. We decided to do a boudoir session out of the blue. Within just a few minutes, we put this together in our hotel room without any studio light and natural light. What do you think?

I love costomes. I had a blast with my sister at the Rensaissance Faire. People LOVE to get in front of the camera for you. It was too funny that the parents told their kids to pose for me or look at the camera for me without me asking them to do anything.
